Oreo Truffles Recipe / Homemade Oreo Chocolate Balls.

Oreo is the national dessert maker for the year 2020.

Oreo Chocolate dolls are very delicious and easy to make. Children like to eat these chocolate dolls very much. So try out these dolls at your home. These balls were so delicious and amazing.

I love all the dessert recipes which is having the tag, ‘no bake’..

Ingredients for Homemade Chocolate Dolls:

Choco Cream Oreo Biscuits – 2 packets. (Any flavour, double stuffed or regular both work)
Dark Chocolate – 150 grams
Milk – ¼ cup
Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup – ¼ cup
Whipped Cream toppings
Whole Cashew Nuts.

How to Make Oreo Chocolate Dolls:

Remove the cream which is stuffed between the oreo biscuits and break down the Oreo biscuits in pieces. Grind them in a mixer jar to make fine powder. Now transfer the Oreo powder in a small mixing bowl. Add chocolate syrup and milk little by little to make a soft dough.

Take small portion of the mixture, roll it in your palms and make a small and big balls out of it. Transfer the balls to a plate. Do the same with the rest of the dough. Keep it in the refrigerator and leave it to set it for 15 to 20 minutes.

By the time the chocolate balls get ready, we will melt the dark chocolate. For this heat water in a deep pan on low flame. Place a heat proof bowl on top of the vessel. Place the dark chocolate in this bowl. Stir occasionally till the dark chocolate is smooth and melted completely. Switch off the flame. Keep it aside until it is completely cool.

Now take out the Oreo balls from the fridge and Drop them into the melted chocolate and roll them around carefully with a fork. Once the entire ball is covered, carefully lifted it out. Using a fork would make the job easier. Do the same process with the rest of the Oreo balls. Transfer these coated balls to a greased tray.

Keep it in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes. To make the doll, I have placed the small balls on the top of the big balls! Then I have placed two whole cashews as horns and used whipped topping in a pastry bag to make eyes and mouth.. he he
Oreo Chocolate Dolls are now ready. Njoy.

My Recipe Notes on Oreo Balls:

1. Oreo biscuits should be grind to fine powder.
2. For melting the dark chocolate,
3. Don’t allow any moisture to come in contact with the chocolate.
4. Don’t melt the chocolate too quickly, slow and steady wins the race.. hehe
5. You can sprinkle colourful sprinkles on top to decorate these balls.
6. You can use chocolate syrup or chocolate spread or ganache instead of Hershey’s chocolate syrup.
7. I used the left over whipped topping to decorate it. The whipped topping should be chilled before using.
8. These can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or for up to 3 months in the freezer.

Happy Baking.. Cheers..
