Ghee Roasted Bananas are a delicious and versatile treat that can be enjoyed as a snack, appetizer, or breakfast option. This dish is a local favorite, loved by people of all ages. It’s my hubby’s favourite appetizer. So I have deliberately overdone it as he likes it that way!

Hey bachelors! 👋 Roasted bananas are a perfect snack for you, and the best part is it’s ready in just 5 minutes! Try it out, and don’t miss my upcoming recipe post. As a teacher, I’m swamped with academic work this time of year, but I love every bit of it – it’s actually fun! 🤗

Did you know bananas are a superfood? Whether you fry, bake, or steam them, they’re packed with goodness! Bananas are rich in fiber, potassium, manganese, and vitamins B and C. They’re also great for tackling morning sickness and can even be beneficial for people with diabetes and eye issues.

The pictures I’m sharing today are from different days, and I’ve experimented with two different garnishes – white sugar and white sesame seeds! 😊 Although the presentation varies, the recipe remains the same. Which one do you like better? Take a look and let me know what you think!

Ingredients for Making Ghee Roasted Banana:

Ripe sweet Banana – 1
Ghee – 1 ½ tbsp. or as you needed
Sugar – as needed
Cardamom Powder – 1 pinch.

How I made Ethampazham Varattiyathu:

Slice the banana length wise or in ½ inch rounds.

Take a non-stick pan. Heat ghee in it. Shallow fry the banana pieces for five minutes until the external layer is golden brown on each side. Sprinkle cardamom powder.

Garnish it by sprinkling white sugar or white sesame seeds. Serve it with a cup of hot tea.

So here goes the recipe of ghee roasted bananas.

My recipe Notes on Ghee Roasted Banana:

1. Use only ripe bananas to get the real taste.
2. Adding cashew nuts and raisins while frying banana will give an excellent taste.
3. You can sprinkle little grated coconut while frying or to garnish it. (optional).

Happy Cooking..
